A fresh look at Gdynia
The Portova Project, influenced by the industrial style, alludes to the modernistic traditions of Gdynia with simple and geometric forms, translated into the contemporary language of architecture. The distinctive structure, over 50 metres high and visible from Świętojańska Street, will not only close the perspective of Kaszubski Square, but also facilitate orientation in the city structure. The whole will create a compact architectural creation, whose style will set the tone for the immediate surroundings and fulfil the needs of those who seek a comfortable life in the city centre.
Comfortable living space
The size and layout of the apartments in Portova have been meticulously planned by architects, so that future residents will be able to arrange them according to their needs. Both minimalist solutions and those based on classic forms will be fitting. High windows overlooking the harbour, the city panorama and the sea will create a sense of space in the interiors. A visibly separated segment inherent in Portova will be a service zone located on the ground floor of the building, which in time will become an integral part of the urban fabric of Gdynia.
Relaxation in the city center
Portova is not only an example of modern architecture reflecting the latest trends. The housing estate will include a restored historic building, a part of Gdynia’s history. Its coherently arranged interiors will form a private relaxation zone, comprising a fitness room, saunas and a recreation area, where residents will be able to play billiards, watch their favourite TV show or meet friends. The dynamic building complex will include interior courtyards, which the landscapers will fill with bushes, grass and ferns, selected in a way to create a pleasant view all year round.
Keeping pace with changes
Once called a market, Kaszubski Square and the neighbouring streets are once again becoming a fashionable part of the city centre. It is right here, in the 1920s, that the first “skyscraper” in Gdynia was built – its surroundings were bustling with life. The neighbourhood, once forgotten, is once again one of the most attractive places for the city’s residents, due to the creation of new venues, boutiques and service facilities. You can clearly see the direction and feel the pace of the ongoing changes – towards yet undiscovered possibilities and a comfortable life.
No compromises
The possibility of immediate access to city attractions, without the need for planning, will give residents a sense of freedom and ease. In the closest surroundings of Portova you will find fitness clubs, language schools, cinemas, theatres, pubs and music venues. The residents of Portova will be able to develop their passions and actively profit from city life – fully, without making any sacrifices or compromises.
Taste of the city center
Barely a few hundred metres from Portova you can find exhibition halls (Gdyńskie Hale Targowe). Direct access to fresh fruit, vegetables and Baltic fish will allow residents to profit from specialties of the region, as well as to taste dishes from around the world. Fans of dining out will be satisfied with the broad offer of restaurants, pizzerias, bars and cafés which will provide them with an opportunity to try new, unusual tastes on a daily basis.
