Trends spanning decades and timeless architecture

An address one must commit to: The neighbourhood of one of the world’s most beautiful Old Towns and the surroundings of the modernist building of the Museum of the Second World War gave the creators of Brabank no room for compromise. This is how their concept came into being – simple, yet devoid of the obvious; thoroughly modern and timeless. 

Brabank is a Polish expression of global urban design and trends. Its strong and geometric form is a deserved winner of many prestigious awards, including international ones. It is a symbol of change – an architectural avant-garde that is already being emulated by future generations. 

• The architectural studio of champions: The concept was authored by Jacek Droszcz and Dr Bazyli Domsta from Studio Kwadrat, the team behind such representative developments as the Musical Theatre in Poznań, the Gdańsk Historical Heritage Centre and the Iga Świątek Tennis Academy. They are also the creators of the neighbouring Museum of the Second World War, into whose context Brabank has been integrated. In this way, a place with an already fulfilled ambition to redefine a post-industrial district has been created, while simultaneously becoming a proud part of the new urban ecosystem on the banks of the Motława. 
   
• An energising city, intimacy within a moment: Brabank is part of Gdańsk. Its ground floor opens onto the waterfront, inviting residents to trendy cafés, niche restaurants and craft boutiques, but the upper floors offer residents intimacy and tranquillity. The living area is separated by a private terrace lined with a diverse arrangement of plants, inviting you to enjoy the breathtaking view of the river and the historic buildings of the Old Town. 
   
• Following the light of day: The copper colour of the façade attracts your attention and deftly holds it. It does not dominate, but does not go unnoticed either. It works around the clock and at all times of year, reflecting the light of the sun and glistening in a variety of shades. The ubiquitous use of glass, in turn, gives the structure transparency and fit perfectly into the character of the district on the Motława waterfront. 

Boundless conveniences for individual needs. 

Inspiring, novel and complete – such is the standard of the communal spaces and the amenities offered to residents. At Brabank, timeless and unassuming elegance can be felt with every sense. Its stature is the result of the work of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Wschód Gallery and local artists. • Detail, concept, works of art: The apartment complex opens its doors to residents with a commanding lobby, before offering spaces where Carrara marble and selected walnut wood meet prints by Karolina Bielawska, an abstractionist represented by galleries in Cologne, Warsaw, New York (Wschód Gallery) and Hong Kong (Double Q Gallery). 
   
• Extraordinary everyday life: A glass of Chablis at the marble bar or a meditation session in a private room? Brabank offers amenities befitting the menu of a prestigious hotel: a spa with massage rooms, comfortable saunas, a club room with leather sofas and high-end audio equipment. There is also a library with unique albums, a luxurious study for work and business meetings, and a minimalist tranquillity area that soothes the senses. A year-round green patio is the perfect culmination of this sophisticated offering, which has only one goal – to provide residents with unreserved comfort whatever their needs.  
   
• Beyond the obvious: two renowned architectural studios, represented by leading exponents of their respective styles, are responsible for the interior design:
  - Anna Wojczyńska – a pioneer of luxury design in Poland, professionally associated with Warsaw and London, responsible for the interiors of the Le Guern Gallery, the Gulfstream G280 business jet and the Polish Olympic Committee Office, among others. Thanks to her, the interiors created in Brabant’s earlier stages are infused with icons of contemporary design. 
  - Magdalena Adamus – the owner and creative director of Studio LOFT, also responsible for the common spaces of the Museum of the Second World War adjacent to Brabank. It is thanks to her that the interiors have retained a harmonious colour palette, and the refined finishes are consistent with the architecture of the museum.  

Local nature, global art  

A private garden in a culturally vibrant European city centre. World art meeting local nature. Design icons and the democratic idea of openness for residents.  

Brabank proves that opposites do not have to be mutually exclusive. There is only one condition – they must meet the expectations of those who will accept nothing less than the highest standards.  

• Nature: Brabank is a realisation of the fusion of architecture and plants. A row of small-leaved lime trees and shrubs reveals the copper façades of the buildings sparkling in the daylight. Inside the courtyard, residents can relax among the greenery, which evokes the image of a botanical garden in the shape of a ravine running alongside the buildings. This symbiosis with nature is also emphasised by the intimate resting plazas – glades, bedded with plants to offer a panoramic view of the surrounding city. 
   
• Art: Always linked with Gdańsk, it fills and surrounds Brabank. Visible from the front is the dynamic sculpture Collision by Damian Kucaba. This was the winning entry in a competition announced by Invest Komfort and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. It is an artistic expression of the confrontation between land and water, history and modernity, the city of the past and the future. The interiors, in turn, are filled with abstract prints by Karolina Bielawska, previously presented at solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, Cologne and Bari, among others. 
   
• Green artists: Landscape designer Dorota Rudawa pursued the idea of architecture and nature co-existing on equal footing. They were to intermingle, to enter into a dialogue with one another. This was achieved both on a local scale – in the form of green leisure zones immersed in diverse flora – and on an urban scale – by linking the entire apartment complex to its surroundings.
